1 knob of butter

Instructions:

  2. Make sure the salmon has no bones left and cut into small pieces.
  3. Put the potatoes, salmon and frozen spinach in the Babycook steamer basket.
  4. Pour water into the Babycook >water tank (Level 3) and start the steamer.
  5. Put the cooking liquid to one side in a small container.
  6. Transfer all the cooked food into the Babycook bowl with the butter.
  7. Add some cooking liquid until you obtained the desired consistency.
Cooking Tip:

Frozen spinach is just as good for baby as fresh spinach. In fact, the spinach is frozen immediately after gathering when it is in season, so it has not been left on street stalls or in a refrigerator. The spinach that you will be cooking for your baby is therefore rich in vitamins and minerals.

Nutrition Facts:

Spinach is a vegetable rich in anti-oxidants. It should be cooked for the shortest possible time and in a way that does not destroy the precious micro-nutrients.

This is the case with steam cooking and this is why we keep the cooking liquid to add it to the dish. It not only improves the consistency but by doing this you put back the vitamins and minerals into baby’s dish that have dissolved in water.

If there is too much, you can keep the cooking liquid and freeze it to use as at a later date, for example, in a soup or as a vegetable stock.

Alternatives for lactose intolerant:

A little oil will replace the butter. 1 teaspoonful of hazelnut oil will enhance the flavour.
